Buckets – Sauna buckets are used in traditional
steam saunas. They hold the water that is poured
over the rocks to create steam. These buckets are
usually made from wood and coated in a finish to
make them able to stand up to the moist heat.
Fragrances – These usually come in the form of oils,
and are added to the sauna to create an aromatherapy
atmosphere.
Lotions – Use before or after the sauna to help
beautify the skin. Some people choose to use lotions
on dry skin before the sauna to prevent irritation.
Thermometers – The sauna’s temperature should be
monitored as maintaining steady and proper heat is
important for a good sauna. Body temperatures should
also be monitored to prevent adverse health issues.
Hangers – Decorative hangers can be used to hang
towels and clothing. They help keep the sauna area
organized and attire close at hand.

Pillows and Pads – These accessories provide comfort
during the sauna so you can relax and thoroughly
enjoy your sauna experience. You can make your own
customized pillow by wrapping a plain neck roll with
a soft towel, then securing the ends with ribbon.
