The Irish Shake
3/4 oz. green crème de menthe
3/4 oz. white crème de cacao
2 cups vanilla ice cream
Mix all three ingredients together in a blender
and blend until drink has the consistency of a
milk shake. Serve with a straw, a sprig of mint,
and a green umbrella to add a tropical flair to
St. Patrick’s Day.

St. Patrick’s Day Cookies
Buy or make simple sugar cookie dough. Let the
kids cut out shamrock-shaped cookies with a
cookie cutter. Bake them. While they are
cooling, add green food coloring to vanilla
frosting. Let the kids decorate the cookies with
frosting and plenty of green sprinkles.
Lucky Clover Cake
Prepare a 9 x 13 inch cake using a boxed cake
mix. Use a few drops of green, or yellow and
blue food coloring, to turn a can of vanilla
frosting green. After the cake is baked and
cooled down, use a cardboard template to cut
three heart-shaped pieces out of the cake.
Arrange them in a single layer on a plate with
the pointy ends toward each other. It will look
like a clover leaf. Frost the entire cake with
the green vanilla frosting. |

Leprechaun Ale
Place a scoop of lime sherbet into a tall
glass, pour ginger ale over it and watch it
fizz. For a tropical twist, add a beautiful
flower.

St. Patrick’s Day Parfait
Prepare
a pack of instant pistachio pudding
according to package directions. Fill an
Irish coffee mug with the pudding and dress
it up with slices of kiwi fruit, mint
leaves, and a palm tree swizzle stick!
Mini Mint Ice Cream Tarts
Purchase a roll of refrigerated sugar cookie
dough. Roll the dough into small balls (a
little smaller than a golf ball), and press
each one into a compartment of a mini muffin
pan. Bake according to package directions.
Carefully press the middle of the cooked
dough down with a small dough press after
you take them out of the oven. Let them cool
for 10 minutes, then remove them from the
pan and place them on a baking rack to cool
completely. To serve, scoop mint ice cream
in each of your mini tart shells.
Are you seeing green yet? Happy St.
Patrick’s Day!
