The mission statement of owner Kitt Crown-Boltz
and her staff of more than 25 caregivers,
companions and homemakers at ElderCare
Services Unlimited is threefold. One, to
provide an environment that encourages
their clients to maintain interest in
personal, social, professional and family
activities. Two, to continue and possibly
enhance their clients’ current lifestyles
by providing non-medical, exclusive
personal assistance and individual
companionship. Three, to create
peace-of-mind and safekeeping for their
clients. Put simply, their goal is to keep
your loved one safe, happy and healthy!
“Truly, what else is important, as our
mental, emotional and physical well-being
are all intertwined to maintain balance in
our lives,” Kitt reflects.
Kitt believes that her staff not only
shares her same vision, but also her
passion about being a caregiver in service
to others. “It is as much of a vocation as
it is an occupation for all of us, and my
staff is doing more than I could have ever
asked,” reveals Kitt. “It is heartwarming
to see our clients active, stimulated and
involved in their daily living. Keeping
them ‘in the now’ and interested in their
lives is a goal which is achieved through
personal grooming, outings, games, music
and more.”
Before any services are performed by
ElderCare, Kitt spends time gathering
information about a client so she can be
sure to match them up with the most
suitable and compatible caregiver. Kitt
proudly expresses that she gets it right
99.9 percent of the time, and adds, “We
provide an unprecedented level of service
and treat each client as family.”
There is a complete menu of services
provided by ElderCare Services, either in
your home or your current place of
residence. Personal assistance, light
housekeeping, transportation services,
medication monitoring, meal planning and
preparation, and one-on-one companionship
are but a few available options.
Perhaps the best way to express just how
special the services are from ElderCare is
to include a testimonial. The following is
provided by writer Charlie Huisking. |

“When my mother was hospitalized with a
broken hip last year, her medications
caused her to become confused. She tried
to get out of bed and remove her IV.
Sarasota Memorial Hospital suggested I
hire private duty care. They gave me a
list of agencies, but when I started
calling, I got mostly answering machines,
and no returned calls. The few humans I
did reach told me it was too late to get
someone that day.”
“Then I heard the warm voice of Kitt at
ElderCare Services, who calmly and
compassionately told me that, of course,
they could get someone to stay with my mom
that night. We spoke for 15 minutes, and
as I was about to hang up, I said, ‘Wait a
minute, you haven’t asked for a credit
card or anything. How do I pay you?’”
“Oh don’t worry, we’ll handle that later,”
Kitt said. “This may not sound very
professional, but the money isn’t the
important thing.”
“I was so moved I wished I could reach
through the phone and hug her. That night,
I met Jean, the lovely woman who stayed
with my mom and calmed her nerves as she
held her hand until the sun came up. Since
then, ElderCare has become a major and
beneficial part of my mom’s life. She
receives 24-hour companion care from
ElderCare at her nursing home. The
caregivers help bathe and feed her, and
take her to activities in the home.
They’ve even driven her to doctors’
appointments when I couldn’t make it. But
more than that, Anna, Bridget, Barbara,
Nancy and the rest of the ElderCare staff
have become new friends to my mother. She
eagerly awaits their arrival, and breaks
into a smile when they walk through ``
services have helped my mom live not only
a longer life, but a much fuller, happier
life.”
As the ElderCare Services logo states, “We
have your key to piece of mind: Any door
you want opened, we can do it.” |
