There are so many things that can change in an
instant, yet often we forget how fortunate we are
to have our daily routines, our state of health,
our possessions and our loved ones.
Whatever curve life throws our way, as long as we
are still breathing, it means each day will take a
new direction and be filled with different
experiences.
It means we will meet new people who will help
guide us on this journey.
It means each day on this earth will feel like a
gift from God.
So, embrace every day, and know that even though a
routine has changed, whatever each day brings, we
can get through it, one step at a time.
God will provide comfort, hope and acceptance.
Priorities will change, and this world and our
lives will be seen in a new light.
And chances are, with God at our side, that light
will be brighter than any light ever seen before.
Most days our lives seem predictable. We have a
routine to follow, and we anticipate each day to
be similar to the last. We have come to expect so
many things – water that flows freely from our
spigots, food at all grocery stores, gas at all
gas stations, and just about anything we could
ever want or need at most shopping centers.
Most of us are fortunate to be relatively healthy,
have the ability to walk, talk, see, hear,
understand, create, shop, love. But sometimes,
life throws us a curve ball.
One day, we may wake up and not be able to get out
of bed.
One day, we may wake up and not be able to see.
One day, we may wake up and find out that a loved
one has died.
One day, we may be driving and in a second, be
involved in a serious traffic accident.
One day, we may go to the doctor for a checkup and
find that we have a disease. Sometimes that
disease may be curable; other times that disease
may have no cure.
