Sweet Potato Chips

Sweet potatoes are a popular part of many holiday menus.
Here is a tasty twist on the sweet potato for your holiday festivities!

 

Sweet Potato Chips

Ingredients:
2 or more sweet potatoes
Ice water
Oil for deep frying
Seasoned salt

Directions:

Peel potatoes, cut in half lengthwise, then carefully slice very thin with a mandoline or sharp knife. Place the potato slices in a bowl and cover them with water. Chill for 1 hour. Remove potatoes from water and drain on paper towels.

 

 

Fry slices in single-layer batches in hot oil in skillet, or heat oil to 375° F. in a deep fryer, and fry until golden brown. Remove chips from oil with slotted spoon and place on paper towel to drain. Sprinkle with seasoned salt before serving.
