It’s all about the details at Schroeders Homes, Inc.
Fine quality craftsmanship is evident in every home this
well-established family business produces. From
Schroeders office staff to the construction team,
everyone is friendly and professional. They are united
by their drive to deliver each customer a high quality
home as promised, expeditiously and cost-effectively.
In 1994, David Schroeders continued this sixth
generation business after completing his engineering
degree and working on the construction sites with
his father, Joe Schroeders. The company’s focus is
on building competitively priced, well-designed and
detailed homes. Sales Manager Chris Hostler
explains, “We don’t build production-type homes, and
we’re not true custom builders either. We’re between
the two. We have specific plans we can vary if the
purchaser wants to personalize the home. However, in
order to keep our prices reasonable, we have limits
on how much we can tailor each plan. We utilize
computer-aided design (AutoCAD) to incorporate a
customer’s specifications.”
Chris continues, “David believes
information technology is a valuable piece to his
vision and has incorporated many leading-edge
initiatives into the day-to-day operations. With his
knowledge of technology, David developed a seamless
data transfer process that saved his company a great
deal of time spent on manually transferring
information to other systems. For having
successfully integrated multiple systems to provide
increased efficiency and eliminate re-keying of
data, Schroeders Homes won the prestigious Silver
2005 Award for Technology Innovation.”
Schroeders Homes, Inc. continues to grow. “We now build over
300 homes a year,” says Chris. “The company consistently wins
awards in the Parade of Homes. Last year our Brittany model
in Venice won Best Overall in Sarasota & Manatee County
Parade of Homes, and that is the highest award a home can
achieve.”
According to Chris, the company employs highly
experienced construction superintendents who each have
worked a minimum of 5
years in the industry, each of whom oversees a
specific area. The customer can contact their
superintendent to discuss specific concerns or
receive updates on construction. Schroeders Homes is
also in the process of redesigning their website so
their customers may continue to track the whole
34-step building process. This will allow customers
who are from other states or countries to follow the
status and progression of their home from start to
finish.

“Our
customers choose from a large selection of
cabinetry, floor tiles, countertops and more, which
is continually updated to maintain high quality and
good value. They are always impressed with the wide
selection offered as standard items. Our present
showroom will be expanded into a separate design
center to better accommodate the large variety of
items offered,” says Chris.
Schroeders Homes can build for you on your own
