Pampering

“The time to relax is when you don’t have time for it.”  – Sidney J. Harris

Bich Mai Saunders,
Licensed Massage Therapist

Bich Mai (Bic-my) Saunders was born in Vietnam. In the villages, many parents would work long hours in the rice patties. When they returned at the end of the day, the children would massage their weary limbs and muscles, energizing them for the next day. This was Bich Mai’s introduction to massage.

As a teenager, Bich Mai moved to the United States. Years later, at a friend’s suggestion, she had a much needed massage. She reveals, “After that, I decided to become a massage therapist to help others with their muscle pain, and earn a good living to help support my family.”

Now a licensed massage therapist with 12 years experience, Bich Mai is knowledgeable in various types of massage techniques, and will customize a massage to suit your individual needs. Choose a Swedish massage, which is light and gentle for relaxation, or you may prefer a sports massage to really work the deep muscle tissue. If you have TMJ problems, Bich Mai can perform a massage which works the muscles surrounding the jaw, as well as the inside and outside of the mouth.

If you don’t have time for an hour massage, just a 15-minute scalp or foot massage can open up your circulation and help you feel better. “It is more beneficial to have frequent massages, even if they are of shorter duration,” says Bich Mai. “Our muscles are tools. If we care for them, we will be more productive. In today’s world, massage is no longer a luxury; it is a necessity for optimal health.”

Skincare by Susan Clark, Licensed Esthetician

Raised in Florida, the Sunshine State, Susan Clark knows the importance of practicing proper skincare and maintaining a healthy body. Susan has been a massage therapist since 1993, and in 2000 became a licensed esthetician as she wanted to expand her knowledge of customized facial and body treatments. Susan says, “I love to help people feel better about themselves and educate them about suitable skincare options.”

Susan offers several specialized services, including facials, facial peels and waxing. “Facial peels are important for anti-aging, and help with adolescent and adult acne,” reveals Susan. She performs body and facial waxing services with an experienced, gentle touch. You can even have a “back facial” which clears the pores of blackheads and blemishes, and hydrates dry skin on the back. One of Susan’s favorite products – Steamy WonderTM – is a unique body treatment which helps detoxify, exfoliate and rehydrate your whole body. Susan also uses Dermalogica® products – fragrance-free and used worldwide.

Current clients range in age from 10 to 91 years old! Susan shares, “You are never too young or too old to learn about proper skincare. Nurturing your skin once a month with a facial is essentially good skincare, provides a more youthful appearance and helps diminish fine lines. “This makes many of my clients very happy!” Call Susan today for a bit of pampering to make your beauty shine through!
