Sharky’s – Smack Dab on the Gulf!

Daiquiris on the Deck... Seafood at Sunset... Music by Moonlight...

If you are looking for a place where both the food and the view are sensational, head straight to Sharky’s on the Pier. This beachfront restaurant is a friendly place with a likeable staff that go out of their way to make your visit enjoyable. Whether you select from the full menu offered in the two indoor dining rooms or the light menu on the outdoor bi-level deck, the stunning stretch of coastline makes every meal a memorable occasion. Kids even have their own special menu full of the treats they love – burgers, shrimp, hotdogs and chicken strips.

For 19 years, owners Greg Novack and Mike Pachota have created a place that families can savor their lunch or dinner in true tropical style. There is live entertainment on the deck most evenings, and in the summertime, patrons can enjoy steam boils, crab races and trivia challenges. Parents don’t have to worry about entertaining the children, either; kids have a blast dancing to the music, digging in the sand for shark’s teeth and fishing off the pier.

Sharky’s is the perfect spot to observe a fantastic sunset and sip a refreshing drink. Frozen specialties include the Deck Runner, Mango Bango, Pina Colada, Bushwacker, and the Bait Bucket Margarita (made with Gold Tequila, Triple Sec and Blue Curacao). The Bait Bucket won the  “Best Margarita in Venice” award. They also have a full bar and serve a variety of beers and wines.

Fresh seafood is their specialty, but if it’s steak and pasta you’re looking for, the menu  has  plenty  to  whet  your  appetite.

There are over 20 seafood choices including Seafood Aruba, a delectable entrée of shrimp, scallops, lobster, mushrooms and red peppers served over pasta, rice or vegetables. Try the fresh catch of the day prepared your way – broiled, grilled, blackened, steamed, or fried. All fried foods are cooked in rice bran oil. Entrées are served with seasonal vegetables and choice of yellow rice, cheddar mashed potatoes or red bliss potatoes. You’ll also discover surf and turf combos and tempting chicken dishes as delightful as the warm sea breezes.

To complete your dining experience, be sure to save room for their scrumptious, award-winning “Best in Venice” Key Lime Pie! Every dessert is homemade from scratch, with new desserts offered daily to go with old favorites like Madonna’s Cheesecake and Frozen Turtle Pie.

Sharky’s features three accomplished chefs: Homero Gutierrez, Marc Alton and Eric Eastes. Each brings his own brand of flavor to the menu. They offer catering for private parties and special events, either onsite or off premises. If you have an idea for any type of function, Sharky’s can bring the same great food to your gathering.

It’s the perfect time of year to take a ride to the pier, walk along the Gulf, then step into this tropical beachfront restaurant and bar. There’s no place quite like it – visit Sharky’s and see for yourself!
