Your first thought when you enter Caddy Carts’
showroom may be, “What a fun and environmentally
responsible way to get around! I want one of
these!” Then you have a choice to make. Will you
order the replica of a Cadillac, complete with
leather seats and CD/MP3 player, or opt to have
one modified to look like your first car? Perhaps
you’ll decide to purchase a standard model
tailored with your choice of upgrades, such as a
lift kit, surrey top or bell stand (fold down
seat).
Traditionally, golf carts have been used when
golfing. Useful options include radial tires, golf
club protectors, ball washers, and sunbrella seat
covers. In addition, many people have found golf
carts useful for leisure and other purposes.
Innovative options include head and tail lights,
horns and utility beds. A cart can be made to
accommodate between two to eight passengers, or be
converted as a utility/carry-all cart. No matter
how you want to use your golf cart, Caddy Carts
can customize it to your desires!
You may wonder if you can drive one of these
vehicles on the road. Owner Richard Cucchi
explains, “If you live in an area where the speed
limit does not exceed 35 miles per hour, you may
drive a golf cart! Florida law recognizes that
some citizens may not qualify for a driver’s
license, but still need to get around in their
local area. If you live in a retirement,
recreational or gated community, you do not need a
license to drive an electric cart.” In a resort
community like Boca Grande, a golf cart is the way
to get around. Richard says that a golf cart is
the perfect solution to transportation needs
whether you are on vacation or just using it for
everyday running around. Some might even say that
a golf cart is a necessity in Florida!
This exciting company began 20 years ago when
Richard saw the need for an electric vehicle to be
used in places besides golf and country clubs. He
started customizing carts for clients, and
incorporated Caddy Carts in 1990. As word spread
about his unique designs, Club Car, the world’s
largest manufacturer of electric powered
transportation, came to Richard and asked Caddy
Carts to become an authorized dealer.

Today, golf carts are used by schools, hospitals,
recreational centers, parks and police
departments. “Ten years ago they were a novelty,”
notes Richard. “Now they have become a way of
life, especially for properties where automotive
travel is difficult or impossible.”
Richard and his family believe in supporting the
community, and Caddy Carts donates carts to many
organizations, including local high schools, the
Loveland Center, Venice YMCA and police
departments. Golf carts are also donated by Caddy
Carts for temporary use by parade officials,
charity fundraisers, or any non-profit event that
requires this type of transportation.
Besides furnishing and servicing carts for
individuals and non-profits groups, Caddy Carts
provides fleet services for over 7,200 carts
leased to golf courses, resorts and businesses.
They are also an authorized Club Car dealer
providing warranty service.
Golf carts are available in gas, 36 or 48 volt
electric; new, used, and rebuilt. Rental carts are
also available to meet transportation needs for
your special event or vacation. Stop by Caddy
Carts to see all the interesting options
available! Caddy Carts is ready to provide a cart
to match your personal needs and creative
inspiration.
